Been having computer problems over the past few days that knocked out my scanner. Combined with a broken keyboard (and having Amazon completely %^&*ing fail to send me the replacement I ordered…), running through this in time’s become impossible. I’ll still run through this when I can, but doing it before #50 came out just hasn’t been an option in the end
Otherwise, here’s the preview of Cable & Deadpool #50: The End – http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/newsitem.cgi?id=13006

With the second arc, with Patrick Zircher firmly ensconced as the book’s artist and pressure from Marvel to keep to Bill Jemas’ sloow pacing regulations relieved, the book got a lot stronger – and the lawyers got involved. The arc had been trailed at the end of #6, and solicited, as “The Passion of the Cable” (a reference to Mel Gibson’s Biblical adaptation “The Passion of the Christ”.) Exactly why they took fright isn’t exactly clear, but the arc ended up split into two parts – “The Burnt Offering” from #7-10 and “Thirty Pieces” from #11-12.
And there’s a moment in the arc, from #9, no amount of brain-bleach will ever remove:
Moment 2: “Strategic Advantage.”

In ten days time, Cable & Deadpool #50 will come out, ending the series. So I thought I’d run through ten moments from the series that stuck in my mind for one reason or another, in rough chronological order to commemorate it.
The first arc, If Looks Could Kill, wasn’t a particularly strong arc. The series started months late because the original artist (Mark Brooks) was assigned to something else temporarily – only to be reassigned again after two issues ANYWAY in the end – and the arc was a bit padded. It wasn’t horrible, but not great. Still I wanted a moment from it, particularly from the two Fabian/Brooks issues. So I went with this, basically the first moment the title characters are on-panel together in the series.
Moment 1: “Blow my mind!”/”You DID tell me to.”

Daniel Way, in an interview with Wizard, confirmed what we’ve pretty much known: Deadpool is returning to his own title this year! A quick snippet:
” Deadpool is the character that constantly has to move. He is that AD/HD guy. As long as he’s moving, he doesn’t have to focus on anything. He can’t stand looking at himself — literally. Looking at himself in the mirror, he looks like a f—ing monster, and this is what he has to deal with. And the worst part of it all is that it’s not going to change. It’s not going anywhere. He’s not going anywhere. He’s here to stay. So he’s just reeling headlong into the future with his eyes closed and his mouth moving 100 miles an hour.”
Way is staying on Wolverine: Origins while Steve Dillon will be moving full time to Deadpool. You can read the whole article by clicking here.

Wizard has posted up a 5 page preview of Wolverine: Origins #21 featuring the Merc With A Mouth himself, Deadpool! They also say that tomorrow night they will be putting up an interview with Daniel Way about Wolverine: Origins and Deadpool. Which has confirmed Way is going to be working with Dillon on the new Deadpool book for later in 2008.
Thanks to MWAM reader Tom (same Tom that did the highly-read and highly-enjoyed Reilly Brown interview) for the heads up.

MWAM reader Ben sent us along a link to a post over at ifanboy.com of Deadpool’s upcoming year. Conor, of ifanboy, asked Jim McCann, of Marvel, about Deadpool’s status and Jim had this to say: “There WILL be a Deadpool book coming… our lips are sealed as to if it is a mini, ongoing, or another team-up book.
“
